Mountain House High School made HISTORY at this year's Academic Decathlon competition!
MHHS's Academic Decathlon Team won:
- 2nd place as a team overall (beaten only by Middle College High School, the national champions)
- 1st place as a Team in the Club category
- 29 individual medals
- and had two students (Jacqueline and Jordan Prawira) earn the TOP SPOT in both categories: Starter and Alternate
Highlight #1:
Jacqueline Prawira:
- Earned the highest scoring individual in the entire competition, earning the $1000 Walter S. Rathhaus Memorial Scholarship.
- Earned 1st place in the Honor division, earning a $500 scholarship
- Earned 10 individual medals.
Highlight #2:
Jordan Prawira:
- Earned 1st place as Alternate
- Earned 1st place in ALL 7 of his events (possibly making history as an alternate by winning EVERY EVENT with a gold medal)
- Earned a total of 8 gold medals
Highlight #3:
New Team Records!
- 5 of the 8 Starters earned at least one medal in an event!
- 4 of the 10 alternates earned at least one medal in an event!
