HOSA Blood Drive was a Success

Our recent HOSA blood drive was a great success!

A total of 51 donors registered, 12 were unable to complete the donation and 6 did a Power Red donation.  45 units were collected on a goal of 39!  This means potentially 135 lives were saved by your efforts and the efforts of all the donors at Mountain House High School and from the community!

This time of year is one of the most critical times for blood donation and supply.  This year, the blood supply has become critically low!  We can’t risk not being able to meet the needs of our patients, so thank you for all of your hard work and energy to make this event such a success!

Winter MAP Testing

Wednesday, January 9th is the date for our triannual MAP testing.  All students at MHHS engage in this testing, and scores for MAP testing are sent home to students and parents to review.  Students in Lammersville Unified are MAP tested three times a year, and test scores can be compared from year to year from Kindergarten through 12th grade.  The scores represent a steady progression of academic abilities, and is a good way to gauge student success on important future tests like SAT, ACT, AP, and state CAASPP and science CAST testing.

Due to the security of the test, ALL STUDENTS are required to bring their school issued Chromebook CHARGED and ready to go for the day of testing.  Typically, students should be able to complete the full testing by the early release time of 1:30 P.M.  Students who do not complete the testing before this time will be allowed to stay and complete the tests by the end of the school day.  Students who miss the testing window will be required to make-up the test.

If you have any questions about the January MAP testing, please contact our Vice Principal responsible for Assessment, Jessica Libbee at jlibbee@lammersvilleusd.net.
