Congratulations Speech and Debate

MHHS Speech and Debate team ventured down to California State University Long Beach (CUSLB) this past weekend for the State Championships; and while there were over 1500 students competing for the coveted title, only 12 were going to get it; needless to say those odds are tough ... which makes victory even sweeter ... please congratulate Mohaned Ali in getting 2nd place with his humorous interpretation entitled "Sorry to Bother You" by Boots Riley. His hilarious rendition left the judges in stitches and us in awe; the even more amazing part was that the loss was to his cousin from James Logan High School; both boys were so proud of each other, it was a wonderful win for all!
