Today we highlight our Health/PE, CTE Dance, and EPIC Academy. Please join us for our Virtual Parent Information Night this Wednesday 2/9 @ 6:30 where we will present more information on our course selection process and graduation requirements.
Health and Physical Education
Healthy decision making and fitness are key to a fulfilled life and the Health and PE team provides many opportunities to develop them. All students take a semester of Health as freshmen and a full year of Adulting as seniors. The unique Adulting class focuses on practical knowledge in personal finance, filing taxes, basic cooking, doing laundry, sexual health, and personal care that will benefit them as they move on from high school. Students are also required to take 4 semesters of PE as a graduation requirement.

CTE Dance
Dance is one of our newest pathways in the CTE program and offers a great opportunity for students who are interested in expressing themselves through movement. Many students in the pathway also join the Synergy dance team and perform throughout the year at athletic events, school assemblies, and their own performances in our theater.

EPIC Academy
The EPIC Academy is a unique program available to our students who are looking for an alternative to the traditional high school model. The mission of the academy is to empower students to develop their strengths, and values by creating a personalized graduation pathway that provides innovative learning options to fit the needs of the learner and collaborating with local businesses and other community members to provide opportunities for learning. Most students earn credits through participating in internships, job shadowing, or work experience and only physically attend class a few times a week. Students participate in regular team building and leadership development activities in addition to their coursework.
