Today we feature our excellent CTE Biomedical Science Pathway and our science department. Be sure to check out the Biomedical Science video for a good overview of what students can look forward to in this pathway.
CTE Biomedical Science
CTE Biomedical Science is by far our most popular CTE pathway with 320 students in it this year. It is also our most established pathway and includes an articulated course with Ohlone College that gives students an opportunity to earn college credit as high school students. The courses in Biomedical Science carry an Honors designation so students receive weighted GPA credit on their transcripts. The goal of Biomedical Science is to empower students to build knowledge and skills in biomedical science, as well as in-demand, transportable skills like problem solving, critical and creative thinking, communication, and collaboration. Many students also participate in the Future Health Professionals of America (HOSA) club and travel around the state of California to participate in competitions. CTE Biomedical Science is the perfect program for students who are interested in healthcare, medicine, and science.
