Technology Etiquette for Distance Learning

During this time of distance learning, we'd like to remind you of some important tips when it comes to your technology etiquette while online.  Remember that you are either using a school device, or you are using the school's technology resources (Google platform, Canvas, educational apps, etc.).  All of these resources belong to the district, and are subject to the Acceptable Use Policy that you signed at the beginning of the school year.  Here's some specific tips:
  • Be aware of when you are sharing your screen, and what is in the picture when you are sharing.
  • Make sure to be respectful of your interactions with one another and your teachers.
  • Chat and meeting functions in Google are all monitored and can be retrieved, so make sure that you are appropriate at all times in your verbal and written exchanges.

We want you to use the technology that we have to remain connected during this time of distance learning.  Please remember to use the technology you have been given in positive ways.
