Mustang Ohana,
It pains me to send this email out to you at this time. Due to circumstances beyond our control, and the restrictions placed on large gatherings in the State of California at this time, we are announcing that the prom scheduled for April 18th has been canceled. At this time, administration will be working with the leadership teachers and students to discuss options to plan some other type of activity or dance that might be able to be held once the state clears us to have a large gathering again. Students who have already purchased prom tickets will be fully refunded.
I want you to know how much we care about you, and about the experiences that make our school unique. Prom is one of these experiences, and I assure you that as soon as we are able, we will be planning some sort of activity or experience that will be special for us to remember this school year. As always, we are here for you. I urge you to reach out to us virtually at this time, and to continue to support one another as we continue on during this school year. We will continue to work hard to provide a unique experience that helps our students to feel a part of a community. I encourage you to engage in the virtual activities and events that are happening each week during this time of distance learning. We encourage you to stay healthy both physically and mentally. During this time that we are apart, it is really important to remember who you are, what you represent, and to show your Mustang Pride!
With Aloha,
Mr. Fobert
