Science Olympiad Transcontinental Inivitational

The MHHS Science Olympiad teams recently competed in the Transcontinental Science Olympiad Tournament.  This virtual competition included 1200 students from 80 teams hailing from 18 different states across the United States.

1st Place in Fossils:  Erin Su & Sree Subramanian

3rd Place in Dynamic Planet:  Jacqueline Prawira & Sakina Muckadam
3rd Place in Experiment & Data Analysis:  Erin Su, Elizabeth Varghese, and Pavana Bathula

Additional noteworthy performances include:

8th Place in Experiment & Data Analysis:  Isha Suba, Ashley Varghese, & Elyse Low
9th Place in Anatomy:  Ashlyn Roice & Alicia Roice
9th Place in Protein Modeling:  Alicia Roice, Sree Subramanian, and Aarush Maddela
10th Place in Protein Modeling:  Mehar Pelia, Ryan Alex, & Swetha Nattu

The overall team placements are as follows:
Blue Team:  15th place
Silver Team:  33rd place
White Team:  50th place

For some of our students on the Silver & White teams, this was their very first competition at the HS level.  We still have work to do, but we have a strong foundation!  Congratulations to all of our Science Olympiad competitors.
