THIS MESSAGE IS BEING SENT OUT AS THE GUIDANCE FROM CIF HAS CHANGED OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF HOURS.
Mustang Athletes!
The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) has just released updated guidance for our Season 1 of sport that was scheduled to begin as early as December 7th. Due to the current surge in Covid- 19 cases the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has not updated athletic participation to include anything beyond conditioning.
At this time CIF has made the decision to postpone official practice start dates until sometime after January 1, 2021. To accommodate the postponement CIF has also decided to remove all Regional and State Championship events from the Season 1 sports calendar. In addition to this they have also moved boys volleyball to Season 2 to accommodate for the cancellation of their season last Spring.
At this time MHHS will move forward with sports conditioning only until further notice. As soon as we receive more information this will be communicated out.
As soon as we receive more information, we will communicate with everyone involved via email, the MHHS athletic website, and through Remind groups.
