Speech Competition Winners

This past Tuesday, the Interact organization held the local rounds of their national speech competition.   The topic assigned for this speech competition is "Connecting the World through Leadership and Service."  The speech had to be 5 minutes in length and the audience was the Rotary club. 

We are proud to announce that our students shined during the speech competition.  Please join me in congratulating the following students who placed in the competition and won prizes: 

1st place - Dhruva Kolikineni ($125.00)
2nd place - Brooke Carpenter  ($100.00)
3rd place - Luke Sorenson and ($75.00)
4th place - Ernesto Daza ($50.00)

Brooke will be moving forward and representing the school and area at the next level of competition in Merced.  There she can receive $1000.00 should she win! With each level of participation and success, the prizes increase. While the scholarship is a secondary reward, the gift of speaking and sharing is an amazing experience for students and adults alike!
