You'll notice something different about many of the early release days at MHHS this year. In past years, early release days necessitated us to shorten each of the 7 periods in the day to 31 minutes, giving students and teachers very little time to interact on early release days. This school year, early release days are going to change to a two-day block-period style schedule. This new block schedule model will allow teachers to have a longer period of time to spend with each class, increasing the ability to provide effective instruction in an extended class period. Additionally, on these early release days, teachers will have the opportunity to engage in two days of additional professional development and planning in the afternoons. Students will see their teachers once over these two early-release days.
