Science Olympiad WINS BIG

This past weekend, MHHS took two teams to the San Joaquin Regional Science Olympiad Competition. We have been practicing all year long for this competition. Each team of 15 students competes in 23 different events: some are tests, some are labs, some are build events.

This year, the Mountain House Blue Team walked away with 9 1st place medals, 5 2nd place medals, 1 3rd place medal, 4 4th place medals, 3 5th place medals, and 1 6th place medal. Overall, the Blue team came in FIRST place.

SJCOE also awards the Meredith Davis Perpetual Award to the first place Division C team every year. This year, MHHS Blue team will be bringing home this trophy, breaking an EIGHTEEN YEAR winning streak for Tokay HS. That is quite the upset!

Our team has also been featured in the MH Matters! newspaper.  Check out their article HERE

Seriously, y'all. Our kids are amazing!

MHHS will continue this EPIC streak of excellence when we compete at CSU Stanislaus at the State Competition on April 6th.
