MHHS Full Scale Safety Exercise Volunteers Needed

On the afternoon of March 16th, students and staff at MHHS will be participating in a full scale safety exercise to test our safety plan and evacuation procedures. Students will be evacuating based on a simulated emergency situation in one of our classroom buildings. Emergency crews from around the area will be working with us and responding as if this was a real emergency as well.

In order to fully test our reunification and sign-out procedures, we are looking for parent volunteers who would be willing to actually come to MHHS during our safety exercise to pick up their students as if it were a real emergency. The drill is scheduled to start at 12:00 and parent volunteers would need to be available to arrive at MHHS between 12:00 and 1:30. This would be a great opportunity to not only help us test our emergency system, but to pick up your student a little early and enjoy some 1 on 1 time in the afternoon.
Additional information regarding specific reunification procedures will be sent out in the near future.

Please sign up if you would like to volunteer using THIS FORM.

Please note that March 16th is an early release day and all students will be released at 1:30 and will be able to leave campus and head for home as they normally do.

As a parent, knowing that your child is safe at school is extremely important and we take our planning seriously. Your participation in our exercise is vital and we appreciate the support in making sure our safety plans and procedures work in the event that we ever need them in a real emergency situation.
