The MHHS Speech & Debate team competed in the California High School Speech Association (CHSSA) State Championship. In order to compete in this tournament, students must first qualify. MHHS had 18 students successfully qualify and compete in weekend's competition.
Please help me in congratulating the following students who made it to the final rounds of the state championship. These students are the best of the best throughout the state of California:
Ananya Domala for making it to the semi-final round in Expository Speaking
Saksham Madaan & Udit Karthikeyan for making it to the sem-final round in Parliamentary Debate
Elizabeth Su & Ameya Puranik for making it to the octofinal round in Parliamentary Debate
Through their Student of the Year Award, the CHSSA recognizes students who use their voices to fight for good, break down barriers for their fellow students, and seek opportunity for those in need. Please help me in congratulating MHHS Senior Anisha Yeddanapudi who was named as one of the five finalists for this prestigious award.
In a year of challenge and turmoil, the students of the MHHS Speech & Debate team have persevered, using their voices and talents to share their stories, express their thoughts, and change the world.
