Return to Sports Practice and Competition

Mountain House High School (MHHS) is working with the California Interscholastic Federation(CIF,) the Sac-Joaquin Section (SJS,) and the County Department of Public Health (CDPH) to respond to the decision to allow outdoor, low-contact sports to begin full practices, try-outs, and competition.  According to the direction of these organizations, MHHS will start on February 1, 2021.  The school and the district will continue to follow all safety protocols, preventative measures, and cohorting rules established by the CDPH to maintain student and coach safety and health.  We will continue to follow any updated guidance from these governing bodies as the season progresses, the following sports are able to resume practices and play during California's Purple Tier:

Purple Tier Sports

Girls and Boys Golf

Sideline Cheer (no contact)

Specific dates and times for practices, try-outs, and competition dates will be published in the next several days.

We encourage all students interested in playing in these sports to complete their Physical Clearances if they have not already done so through our online clearance process at the following web address:  athleticclearance.com

All other sports are currently able to continue conditioning using CDPH guidelines and will begin practice and play during the appropriate tier.  Below is a list of sports that can be played in each of the corresponding tiers.
