A First for Mountain House DECA Team

In the past week, one of our DECA students, Rishabh Rai, placed 6th overall in the Western Region of the United States for competing in the Stock Market Game.  This is a DECA competitive element where DECA students from all over the country compete in a game where they need to make money by investing in a virtual stock market.  They are given $100,000 virtually to invest in the stock market. They have requirements to meet with investing in a variety of stocks, bonds, and other commodities and maintain a minimum balance in each.  The winners are determined by how much they grow the $100,000.

The top 25 in each region in the country get to attend the International DECA Competition to present their portfolios for awards and recognition.  Rishabh placed 6th out of 25 in our region. Only 15 students in California placed.  The states in the region are CA, WA, OR, and CO.

This is a first for our DECA chapter - our first student to place in the Stock Market Game and our first winner to go to DECA international competition!  Our DECA chapter just keeps getting better.

Join us in congratulating Rishabh Rai, and our DECA team for all of the great work they are doing!
