2020 Graduation Update

Mustang Ohana,

We would like to take a moment to communicate information in regards to graduation ceremonies for the class of 2020.  Due to the continued physical distancing mandates from the state and county, we are announcing an official postponing our graduation ceremonies.  Using information that the LUSD administration gathered from a survey sent to our Senior Class and their families, we will be planning graduation ceremonies for early August. We will be communicating a specific date as soon as we have more information about physical distancing guidelines from the county, state, and federal government.

We want to assure you that our district and school are here to support you during this difficult time. MHHS Faculty and Staff still have plans to honor the class of 2020 during the Month of May to acknowledge them for their hard work over the past four years.  We plan on recognizing students virtually for our “Senior Honor Night,” and we plan on physically delivering awards, caps and gowns, and other commemorative items directly to students at their homes.  Also, please look for future information about how we intend to commemorate our original graduation date even though the actual ceremony has been postponed.

While the current state of affairs in our world do not allow us to celebrate as we have in previous years, our aim is to recognize the class of 2020 in a way that honors their hard work, perseverance, and their school pride.

We appreciate your patience and the community’s feedback, support, and ideas during this time.  We encourage our entire Mustang Ohana to always remember who you are, what you represent, and to show your Mustang Pride!
