Community Service Requirement

This is a reminder that community service hours are a REQUIREMENT for graduation from Mountain House High School.  SENIORS!!! It is ESSENTIAL that you turn in your community service hours.  District graduation requirements require ALL students to complete 40 hours of community service before you graduate high school.  Because our senior class is new, we are requiring that 10 of those hours be completed to make seniors eligible for graduation.  

Students who do not complete the community service requirement are not qualified to graduate per district graduation policy.  Senior need to turn in their community service hours ASAP.  

Students who complete more than their 40 community service hours are eligible for recognition.  Students can receive a block letter for their hours by completing at least 200 hours of community service during their high school years.  Students who earn 300 hours or more before their senior year are eligible for the community service senior award.  

If you have questions about where to do your community service, come ask in the main office.  We use an online service finder to post and refer community service opportunities.  Visit justserve.org, and type in your zip code for local opportunities for community service.
