Chromebook Inventory

As we near the end of the year, we are preparing to account for all of the devices that have been checked out to students this school year.  As such, our IT department will be sending home a letter to each student with the devices that have been checked out to them.  Students who have lost or damaged devices will be billed for missing or damaged devices.  Please see the letter below from our MHHS IT department:



Dear MHHS Parents,

Your student(s) will receive a letter from the I.T. Department informing them if they have any DEVICE (Chromebook or AC power adaptor) checked out to them in our inventory system. Most of our students will have one Dell Chromebook and one AC power adaptor checked out to them, but some students will have multiple DEVICES due to borrowing a LOANER Chromebook or AC power adaptor while repairing the damaged DEVICE or if they had forgotten their DEVICE at home.  

Beginning in May, your student will be instructed to “SCAN-IN” all DEVICES checked out to them. This is to insure accuracy of our inventory, that there is no damage done to DEVICE, and that the DEVICE is ready for Summer Break. Students who do not “SCAN-IN” all devices by the last day of school,Thursday, May 26th, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. will be sent replacement a bill for each DEVICE ($329 for Dell Chromebook and/or $50 for Dell AC Power Adaptor). 

All high school students will be allowed to take their DEVICES home over the Summer Break. This will allow students who are enrolled in AP, Honor Classes, and/ or summer school to utilize and access material provided over the Summer.  Students will also be able to use for Summer Reading through MackinVIA.
