The Mountain House High School HOSA Team traveled to the Wentworth Center in Stockton, CA for the Area Leadership Conference. “The purpose of HOSA-Future Health Professionals is to develop leadership and technical HOSA skill competencies through a program of motivation, awareness and recognition, which is an integral part of the Health Science Education instructional program. “ (HOSA.org, 2012). At the conference students competed in one - two events of their choice. After competing they attended mini workshops presented by the nursing students from Delta College. Some of the workshops included professionalism, uniform, STDs, drunk driving, suicide and HIPPA. The day ended with the closing ceremony with an awards presentation. Mountain House clearly swept the day. Below is a list of student placings.
