Science Olympiad is a competition consisting of 23 different events spanning the various subfields of science including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth and Space Science, Mathematics, and Engineering. Students compete in test events, build events, and hybrid events. Each team consists of 15 students with 2-3 students competing together in each event.
They recently won their SJCOE Regional Tournament with the Blue Team taking 1st place and Silver Team taking 4th. Our Blue Team advanced to the NorCal State Tournament where they competed against some of the best schools in the nation. Many of our competitors routinely place in the top 3 (or even win) at the National Tournament.
Mountain House High School placed EIGHTH (8th) this year! This is an outstanding achievement by our students, especially given the fact that our team consisted of several freshmen, newcomers, and last-minute substitutes! Well done, Mustang Olympians!
