Senior Class Information

IMPORTANT stuff is happening for the Senior Class.  Keep informed by checking our website for Senior Class information HERE

Seniors just received information about end-of-year activities and deadlines as well.  See below for the slide deck with the information:

Possible NEW World Language--Mandarin

Mountain House High School is trying to branch out and offer new World Languages at our school in the coming school year.  We are trying to determine the student interest in Mandarin as a World Language for our students in the coming school year.  If you or your student are interested in switching your World Language request for next school year to Mandarin, please fill out the following form:

No course requests will actually be changed until we verify with parents and students.  This opportunity may be possible due to the fact that there are qualified Mandarin Language teachers in the area with experience teaching Mandarin in the local Mandarin Language schools in the Tri-Valley area.

Fill out your request ASAP so we can determine if this is a possibility for our students for the 2019-2020 School year.

MHHS Athletics

I would like to speak on behalf of the entire Mustang Community and extend a huge thank you to LeVinia Woods for the years of service to the school and the athletic department at MHHS.  She will be stepping back into the classroom full time at the end of this school year.  Over the past 5 1/2 years, LeVinia established the athletics programs at MHHS, has supervised programs, mentored students, coaches, and booster members in establishing a world-class program for our athletes.  Her leadership has been essential in the founding years of our school.  We are proud to be able to continue our association with her as she steps back into the classroom on a daily basis and passes the torch to a new A.D.

With that said, I would like to announce that our very own Guadalupe Galindo will be stepping up to the plate to take on the AD responsibilities starting in the 2019-2020 school year.  He will work with LeVinia through the remainder of the year to become oriented to the intricate aspects of the athletics program here at MHHS.  While fairly new to MHHS, Lupe has a wealth of experience as a coach, activities director, and teacher.

We hope you will join the Mustang Community in thanking our outgoing Athletics Director, Mrs. LeVinia Woods, and welcoming our incoming AD, Mr. Lupe Galindo.

Winter Percussion Wins!

The Music Department had a busy weekend this past Saturday in Stockton and Modesto.

Winter Guard attended Championships in Modesto and placed 2nd out of 8 groups.

Winter Percussion started the day at the Stockton arena for NCPA championships where they placed 3rd out of 13 beating schools such as Amador Valley, Dublin, and Foothill HS. It is unheard of for a school and music program only 5 years old to place as well as we did.

Then we traveled to CVGPC Championships in Modesto and we were named the 2019 Champions. This is our 3rd Championship title in 5 years. A monumental task as we have beat many programs that have been doing this for over 20 years.

Join us in Congratulating our Musting Music teams!

HOSA at MHHS and HOSA-JUMP at Hansen Elementary

This past Saturday a group of Hansen HOSA-JUMP students joined the MHHS HOSA Team at the State Conference.  Hansen students competed with students from all over California.  Five Hansen students placed in the top 5 in California and three Hansen students placed in the top 3.  The top three are invited to represent California at the International Conference in Orlando, Florida.

The collaboration between the Hansen School HOSA-JUMP adviser and Ms. Olson at MHHS has been phenomenal.  We are so grateful for this partnership and the positive experience students at Hansen and MHHS have had as a result of it.  MHHS HOSA looks forward to helping start up HOSA-JUMP clubs at other campuses in our school district!
