This time of year our Hindu and Sikh students and their families celebrate Diwali. For Hindus, this festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. For Sikhs, the holiday celebrates the release of their sixth Guru from prison. The celebration includes the display of lights on homes, buildings, windows and other buildings.
