American Mathematics Competition

When:  Wednesday, February 7th  from   3:45 pm - 4:30 pm
Where: Mountain House High School  Multi-Purpose Room
Cost:  None
Who: Any High School LUSD student. This is a perfect opportunity for a student that REALLY enjoys math and problem solving challenges to try a fun, national math contest. Space is limited, so please enroll only if there is strong interest.

In preparation for the AMC 10/12 annual national math competition, Lammersville Unified School District high school students are invited to compete in the AMC 10/12 contest.  This is a 75-minute, proctored, multiple-choice exam using no calculators.

The AMC 10 is for students in 10th grade and below, and covers the high school curriculum up to 10th grade. Students in grade 10 or below and under 17.5 years of age on the day of the contest can take the AMC 10.  The AMC 12 covers the entire high school curriculum including trigonometry, advanced algebra, and advanced geometry, but excluding calculus. Students in grade 12 or below and under 19.5 years of age on the day of the contest can take the AMC 12.
