LUSD Community Health Fair

District Advisory Committee Meeting

Dear Lammersville Unified School District Students, Parents, and Community Members,

In 2013-2014, the state of California changed the way it funded school districts. The new model, called the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), requires the development of a Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) that links spending to specific district goals for student achievement. LUSD's plan describes the school district's overall vision for the students, annual goals, and specific actions the district will take to achieve the vision and goals. The LCAP focuses on eight areas identified as state priorities. The plan also demonstrates how the district's budget will help achieve the goals, assess each year how well the strategies in the plan were able to improve outcomes.

One key aspect of the LCAP process is the engagement of students, parents/guardians, employees, and other stakeholders in providing input and feedback. This is facilitated through a number of committees, including the District Advisory Committee (DAC), School Site Councils, Foundations, PTA's, Professional Learning Community (PLC), Staff Meetings, District and Site English Learner Advisory Committees. These groups review and provide input on sections of the LCAP being developed.

Our next District Advisory Committee Meeting to review LCAP for the 2017-2018 school year is on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 6:30pm in Lammersville Unified School District Office Board Room at 111 De Anza Boulevard, Mountain House, CA 95391. We invite you to attend this meeting and provide your input. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Khushwinder Gill, Assistant Superintendent, at kgill@sjcoe.net or (209)836-7400. We look forward to seeing you at the DAC meeting. Thank You!
