Lost-And-Found

Attention all students and parents!  Our lost-and-found is full of items that have gone unclaimed since the beginning of this school year. If you have lost anything this school year (clothing, shoes, electronics, etc.) we may have it here in the lost-and-found.  MHHS will be donating all unclaimed items in our lost-and-found to a local charity.  Come down and see if we have your lost items before April 3rd.  All items not claimed by then will be donated.

Teen Bio-Tech Challenge

Teen Bio-Tech Challenge is a science challenge that encourages high school students to demonstrate their understanding of biotechnology's impact on our world. Participating students develop research and presentation skills, and most importantly, have fun learning about new technologies.  Students in our Biology classes this year had the opportunity to participate in this challenge which includes the building of a website to communicate their findings as they research the areas of Agricultural Biotechnology; Computational & Systems Biology; Drug Discovery & Biomanufacturing; Environmental Biotechnology; Nanobiotechnology; Personal Genomics & Human Health; and Regenerative Medicine.  Our students did at STELLAR job on their websites and in demonstrating their understanding in these areas.  We encourage you to take a look at our students websites by following the links here:

The Tech Challenge

Every year, the Tech Museum of Innovation runs a program called The Tech Challenge.  This is an annual team design challenge for students through the 12th grade.  It introduces and reinforces the science and engineering design process with a hands-on project geared to solving a real world problem.  The Tech Challenge this year will occur on April 25th through the 26th.  For more information about The Tech Challenge, watch the video here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnRuZvRQ-o4&t=156.  Teams compete in groups of 2 to 6 people, and need to find a teacher adviser to help them.  If you are interested in participating in this year's Tech Challenge, come see Mr. Fobert for more information.
